Dave Quick

"I am a professional photographer specializing in photographs of children, of everything automotive, and of special events. I'm happy to work with you to help document a person, a day, or just a specific event in your life or your company's history. My style is more about capturing the day or event or person as they are - while I recognize you may want posed or formal portraits and we can cover those if they are important to you - I think you'll find the candid and less formal  photos I take throughout a day will be the ones you return to and talk about more often than the more formal images.

I started in photography as early as 4th grade with my family giving me a Nikon FG. That singular act of faith in me when I was so young set me on a path to love and embrace photography as a creative outlet. Since then I have shot with several different cameras and several different formats. Today my tools of choice are still Nikon F5 for film and Nikon D2x for digital with a wide array of lenses. The 35mm SLR and high resolution D-SLR camera format give me the maneuverability and the flexibility to be spontaneous and capture the images that represent my subjects."

A serious photographer since high school at Kingswood-Oxford School in West Hartford, CT. Dave held both the Technical Editor position as well as Photography Editor for the KO News and the Epic Literary and Art Magazine. During that time he won the Kingswood Photography Award three years in a row and was Connecticut representative for the AT&T high school journalism summer program, the Hartford Courant's (CT) first place high school photojournalism recipient in both sports and editorial, was one of the MCI communications scholarship recipients, and was invited to participate in a summer session at the Yale Daily News.

In college Dave was a contributor to the Rensselaer alumni and student publications and was elected Photo Editor of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's "Polytechnic" Newspaper in the end of his freshman year.

An avid car enthusiast Dave has owned a number of cars and at one time or another been involved with each of these clubs local to the Seattle area:

  • Ferrari Club of America (FCA), Northwest Region (NWRFCA)
  • BMW Car Club of America (BMWCCA), Seattle Chapter
  • Mercedes Club of America (MBCA), Seattle Chapter
  • Pacific Northwest Delorean Club (PNDC)
  • Porsche Club of America (PCA), Seattle Region
  • Puget Sound MINI Motoring Club
  • Rolls Royce and Bentley Owners Club

Dave has served as a board member and newsletter editor of the NWRFCA and was a board member the inaugural year of the Ohio Chapter of the Ferrari Club of America.

You will see Dave at local family oriented events [with family] and local car events throughout the year - feel free to come over and say hi!

Sam Quick

Sam Quick is my loving wife. She is detail oriented and as such is the keeper of the books.

She has every bit as much knowledge as me about cars and even more so around alternative fuels and sustainable energy sources. She is also a member of the NWRFCA and the MBCA. In the past she has been in Seattle Magazine with her 2005 Mercedes E320cdi for an article on Bio-diesel.

Her reusable bags are available for purchase as well. Please contact us for more information.
