Dave Quick – 345 Photography

I was slow to adopt digital. I didn’t have my own digital camera until the Nikon D70. Yes – before that I had used pool equipment and such but the D70 is the first camera that made me go – dang – I should spend money on a digital and this is cheap for the benefits (i.e. good value).

Then I switched entirely to digital with the release of the D2x. Since then the D3 was somewhat interesting but I was so happy with the D2x I didn’t think it brought enough value to the table and I didn’t need the D3x high resolution.

Now with the release of the D3s I don’t know how to stop myself thinking about it – it has everything I want. High ISO (12,800 and it’s max is 102,400), movie (720p is more than fine for me), self cleaning sensor (i can hope it works) and full frame sensor (woo hoo – I can choose DX if I felt like it – likely never again .

I can’t get it soon enough. I want it. Bad.
