Maserati front grill – counts as close enough to a hood ornament?

Sticking with the hood ornament theme this week and trying to find some in my past snapshots.

My wife loves the silver star of the Mercedes. This is from her 2001 C240 which is now gone. She’ll be in Seattle Magazine soon with her 2005 E320cdi Diesel – I’ll post a link when they publish it.

A unique one I noticed on a 1936 Dusenberg Murphey Convertible:

Odd – it looks more like a large cavalino rpante from a Ferrari – but if this is a 1936 it was before the first Ferrari was ever made (1947 Ferrari 166 Spyder Serail #004C) and is just coincidence. Amusing.

Rolls Royce Flying Lady/Whispering Lady… it changes design over the years just slightly.

Bentley… the winged B.
