I can’t believe how fast he’s growing up. Here he is at the end of year ceremony with his “dog”.

A great treat after the Bellevue Botanical Gardens. Geoff and Greg both tried this for the first time this weekend - both LOVED the experience.
Visited Bellevue Botanical Gardens for the first time today. My mother-in-law loved the alpine garden. I just wanted to sit and wait for bees. I had to settle for this photo because the boys really were looking forward to the playground.
A student has a great time making some impressions in clay at a loca school art festival here in Bellevue.
Downtown Bellevue with an iPhone. Gotta love modern technology - I’m still surprised by how decent the iPhone’s camera is when you have a decent amount of light. But, I’d still pay more for it if it worked better in lower light and I had manual control over exposure and focus and it had a zoom and… well… if it had a better camera.
This pole caulter had the best expressions for the day at the Bellevue track meet I went to the other weekend.

Nate Munk clears 5′8″ in a recent track meet. This is a 7 out of 10 for me. It isn’t sharp on his eyes. I was forced 100% to this angle as a result of unusably busy backgrounds in every other direction (even with a 300/2.8 or a 105/2.0 or 50/1.4 wide open at full frame for any of them…). We’re good friends with the Munks. All their kids are super nice, super polite, and going to do great… if we hang out with them maybe some of it will rub off on our kids.

Ariel over at Microspotting sent me this tshirt a while back and I just now got a chance to post a picture with me in it. Thanks Ariel.
The 1981 Mercedes 240D behind me is the family tank. It’s a wonderful little machine that just keeps on going. We got it last year in September and have absolutely loved it. The rubber fuel lines were replaced with viton cables and the sludge in the fuelk tank flushed in preparation of running biodieselfull time. We have run B99 in it since then. It runs much quieter (greater lubricity) and with much less soot. It is a great addition to our family. There are plenty of places around the area to fill up with B99 and it’s the second car we’ve been running biodiesel in.
The car’s name is Tralfaz. We have a tradition of picking car names from the Jetsons cartoon show. Tralfaz was the original name of Astro before he was found and adopted by the Jetsons, in case you didn’t know.
BTW - did you realize Microsoft is doing lots of good in the promotion of biodiesel?
Pretty awesome to see a big company promoting something my wife Sam (She’s the one who knows way more about it than I do! She got me into thinking of buying Tralfaz!) and I are into. Sam is a member of the NW Biodiesel Network and thier site is an excellent resource to find out more information to educate yourself about biodiesel.

The boys were not all that interested in posing last night while I was experimenting with more off camera flash - but I’m getting fast enough that it doesn’t take that long for me to setup thankfully.
